This course is designed to guide you through the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training in a logical and supportive format. The course involves a combination of presentations, video clips and learner activities to teach you the skills to successfully achieve the qualification from the comfort of your own home.
The qualification is designed for individuals teaching in both the private training industry and educational institutes. It encourages teaching practitioners to evaluate and develop their skills.
What's involved?
The course is designed for learners that are either currently in a teaching role or have a teaching position that they will be commencing soon. The reason for this is that it is a reflective practice course and part of the assessment is logging 30 hours of teaching.
Upon successful completion of the course, learners can also progress to the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training and eventually gain full teacher status.
The Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training course is aimed at getting you to reflect and evaluate on your current teaching role and develop your teaching skills further.
The course is comprised of four units. Upon enrolment you will be sent the electronic documents, including a presentation with video links, assessment template and work pack for each unit. Detailed guidance and support is given to enable you to answer the written assessments for each unit.
In addition you are required to log 30 hours of your current teaching practice, including 3 hours of observations. Throughout your time on the course you will build up a portfolio of evidence including written answers, a teaching log, lesson observations and self-evaluations.
